Elected to serve as District 2 City Councilman in April 2008, Kent Edmondson has been a Blue Springs resident for 32 years, 22 of which he has lived in the District he is now privileged to serve.
Believing that everything works in cycles, Councilman Edmondson has had the opportunity to witness many changes and positive developments in Blue Springs including the expansion and growth along Adams Dairy Parkway and the revitalization of the Highway 7 north and south corridors.
For years Councilman Edmondson has worked to be an advocate for development and growth particularly in the Downtown area. Here he has served as a Main Street business owner with Kwik Kopy Printing since 1989, Tune Town DJ Service since 1991 and Roses & Such Distributing since 2006.
Council Edmondson continues to maintain a high involvement in both the business community and as a community volunteer. Roles in which he has served include: Chamber of Commerce member, Blue Springs Downtown Redevelopment Committee member, Main Center Merchants Committee member and Past President of the Blue Springs Rotary Club.
Councilman Edmondson and his wife Sue Ann have been married for 24 years and have three sons and two grandchildren. Wife Sue Ann serves as a Resource Aide at Franklin Smith Elementary in Blue Springs.
