Narek Mkrtoumian

Narek Mkrtoumian has a diverse background in urban planning and public policy, currently serving as a Planning Technician for the City of Culver City since April 2023. Prior to this role, Narek worked as a Planning Associate at Pattern Development and as a Planning Intern for the City of La Cañada Flintridge. Narek also held positions at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, where responsibilities included Coordinator of Special Projects and Career Resource Coordinator, and served as Business Development Manager at Beacon Economics. Narek’s early experience includes working as a GIS + Research Assistant at The Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Public Policy, with concentrations in Economics and Historic Preservation from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Non-Profit Management Certificate from Southern California Leadership Network, and a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
