Daniel Messplay, AICP, is a seasoned urban planning professional with extensive experience in zoning and development. Currently serving as the Senior Zoning & Development Manager for the City of Cambridge since January 2020, Daniel has also held the position of Acting Director. Prior roles include Senior Real Estate Manager for the City of New Rochelle and Deputy Director of Planning & Economic Development for the Village of Port Chester, where Daniel began as a Planner. Earlier career experiences include working as a Senior Planner in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech. Daniel's educational background includes a Master's degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation and Conservation from the University of Mary Washington.
