Manisha Paudel

Manisha Paudel is a seasoned equity and community engagement professional with extensive experience in local government and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as Equity Officer and Interim Director of the Civil & Human Rights Department for the City of Des Moines, Manisha Paudel has led initiatives such as the Welcoming Cities program and the Project PEACE program aimed at improving community-police relations. Previous roles include Senior Equity and Policy Analyst at the City of Tacoma, where Manisha Paudel facilitated equitable hiring analyses and designed training for staff. Additionally, Manisha Paudel has contributed to community rebuilding efforts in Nepal and held various roles focusing on equity and community relations across several cities. Manisha Paudel holds a Master of Science in Public Service Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Drake University.
