Julie Schneider

Julie Schneider serves as the Director of the Housing & Revitalization Department at the City of Detroit, with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the department since June 2015, including Acting Director and Deputy Director. Prior to this, Julie held positions at HUD as a Management Analyst and Presidential Management Fellow from June 2012 to May 2015. Additional experience includes coaching at Cass Technical High School, participating as a Bohnett Foundation Fellow in the Mayor's Office, and interning with AmeriCorps. Julie's early career involved donor relations with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Julie holds a Master of Urban Planning and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, as well as two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Michigan State University in Marketing and Telecommunications.
