Andre Moore

Andre Moore is an experienced professional with a diverse background in emergency management, public safety, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Emergency/Homeland Security Manager for the City of East Point, a position held since October 2021, Andre previously held the same title from February 2015 to March 2019, where responsibilities included emergency preparedness liaison and grant management. As a former Franchise Owner of Steak n Shake, Andre successfully managed the operations of a high-performing restaurant. With earlier roles including Director of Sports Fitness Camp at Emory University and Director of Campus Recreation Services at Drew University, Andre has demonstrated strong leadership and program management abilities. An accomplished content creator, Andre founded the award-winning parenting blog Birthed Into Fatherhood. Andre holds a Certificate in Decision Making & Problem Solving in Emergency Conditions from Columbia University and advanced degrees in English and Psychology.
