Colton Burns

Colton Burns is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in emergency response and safety coordination. Currently serving as a probationary firefighter with the City of Fort Saskatchewan since November 2023, Colton previously held roles at West Fraser from November 2015 to November 2023, including Sawmill Quality Control and Emergency Response Team Captain, focusing on fire, medical, machinery, high-angle rope, and hazardous material incidents. Colton also worked as a Lieutenant with the Hinton Fire Department from May 2011 to November 2023. Academically, Colton is pursuing a Diploma in Disaster and Emergency Management at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, following a Certificate in Industrial Wood Processing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
