Mariah Johnson is currently a police officer at the City of Grand Rapids. Prior to that, they worked as a marketing/administrative solutions specialist intern at Verizon Wireless from June 2014 to December 2014. In this role, they were responsible for driving customer loyalty and growing the customer base. Mariah also oversaw office filing and record management needs, and developed management skills including managing conflicts, delegating responsibilities, directing others, making decisions, and enforcing policies.
From January 2014 to April 2014, Mariah worked as a PR consultant at Haven House. In this role, they used their public relations skills to create a strategy that implemented cost savings, human resource policies and procedures, and fundraising to create awareness and help the non-profit with expenses.
Before their work at Haven House, Mariah was an advertising/communications and marketing student at Associated Students of Michigan State University from August 2011 to August 2012.
