Founded in 1835, Huntsville is one of Texas’ oldest cities and home of Sam Houston, the first and third President of the Republic of Texas and later Governor of the state. Huntsville is situated in the eastern Piney Woods region of the state.

Located in town are two of Houston's homes, a museum, and a 66 ft. statue which is the tallest statue of an American hero in the world. We are also home to Sam Houston State University, Texas Department of Criminal Justice (the only state agency with headquarters outside of Austin), and Huntsville State Park.

The Water Services Team for the City of Huntsville, Texas, ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of the city's water treatment and wastewater management systems. Led by the Chief Water Plant Operator and the Wastewater Services Superintendent, and supported by the Assistant Water Superintendent, the team works to provide safe, clean water to the community and oversee the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
