Zelalem Alemu

Zelalem Alemu, PE, MSCE, MBA, is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Project Manager for the City of Las Vegas since November 2023. Alemu has extensive experience in project management and engineering roles, having worked at the City of Henderson since November 2019 as both Project Manager and Project Engineer, where responsibilities included defining project scope, coordinating consultant work, and reviewing engineering plans for compliance. Previously, Alemu worked for the California and Nevada Departments of Transportation in various engineering capacities, focusing on hydrologic analyses, roadway drainage design, and project management. Education includes a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
