Located in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina, Mauldin is a progressive community of approximately 21,500 people. Recent population data reveals that Mauldin was the 10th fastest growing city in South Carolina from 2000-2007 and is now the 19th largest out of 270 South Carolina Cities.

Mauldin boasts one of the best high schools in the nation according to recent U.S. News and World Report rankings. The Mauldin High School Mavericks have excelled in both academics and athletics. Mauldin Middle School was awarded a prestigious "Green School"​ title by Santee Cooper and Laurens Electric Cooperative. Both Mauldin Elementary and Bethel Elementary Schools have received national recognition for academic excellence. The City's leadership continually strives for quality education.
