Sara Roman

Sara Roman, AICP, currently serves as a City Planner for the City of Minneapolis since March 2020. Prior to this role, Sara held positions as Planner II at Landform Professional Services, LLC, and as Planner/Urban Designer II at Group Melvin Design, where responsibilities included developing urban design plans, community impact assessments, and design guidelines. Early experience includes project management and marketing assistance with Coopers Ferry Partnership and general assistance in real estate development at Walnut Hills Redevelopment. Academic contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati involved research on property sales and supervision of undergraduate courses. Sara's earlier internships provided foundational experience in planning and development with organizations such as Tri-County Regional Planning Commission and the City of Harrisburg. Educational credentials include a Master of Community Planning with a focus on Urban Design from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
