Jeff Niten

Jeff Niten is an accomplished city manager currently serving in an executive leadership role for the City of Mountlake Terrace since April 2023, where responsibilities include translating City Council policy goals into actionable operational plans and leading the city employee team. Prior to this, Niten held the position of City Manager in the City of Shelton from January 2019 to April 2023 and served as Community Development Director for the City of Ridgefield from March 2015 to January 2019. Niten's extensive experience in urban planning began with roles such as Planner III - Project Manager at Clark County WA and Assistant Planner at the City of Bonney Lake, among others. Niten's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Dakota.
