Sreoshy Banerjea is the current Executive Director of the Public Design Commission at the City of New York. Sreoshy has previously served as Vice President of Urban Design at the New York City Economic Development Corporation from April 2016 to June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a project architect and urban designer at Dattner Architects from July 2013 to April 2016. There, they worked on the NYU Langone Medical Center Ambulatory Care project as well as the Lambert Houses Master Plan.
Banerjea has also worked as an urban planner and designer at the NYC EDC, where they studied and surveyed Bush Terminal and Brooklyn Army Terminal. Sreoshy also worked on the Halletts Point Master Plan in Queens, NY. Most recently, they worked as a designer at the Brooklyn College Graduate School of Cinema.
Sreoshy Banerjea has a Master of Science in Architectural Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
