Kris Baker

Kris Baker, PE, is an experienced civil engineer currently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Northampton since October 2023. Previously, Kris held the position of City Engineer for the City of Holyoke from June 2022 to September 2023 and worked as a Staff Civil Engineer for the City of Northampton from November 2017 to May 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure as an Environmental Engineer at Fuss & O'Neill from June 2008 to November 2017, focusing on environmental impact assessments, modeling, and permitting. Kris began an environmental career as an Environmental Technician at Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC from 2003 to 2006. Academic credentials include an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Westfield State University, and a BS in Environmental Engineering from Humboldt State University.
