Janice Sperow

Janice Sperow possesses extensive experience in dispute resolution and arbitration. Currently serving as a Hearing Officer for the City of Oakland since January 2024, Janice also holds positions as a Neutral at the Early Dispute Resolution Institute, a Dispute Resolution Board Member with Caltrans, and an Arbitrator for both the National Arbitration and Mediation and Better Business Bureau since January 2017. Additional roles include Hearing Officer for the City of Los Angeles and Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators since early 2022, as well as membership in the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation and the Academy of Court-Appointed Neutrals. An Arbitrator for the United States Chamber of International Business since January 2021, Janice holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, along with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley. Janice has completed over 100 hours of arbitral, mediation, and judicial training.
