Drummond Buckley

Drummond Buckley is an accomplished planning professional with extensive experience in urban planning, management, and economic development. Currently serving as the Planning Director for the City of Orinda since February 2016, Drummond has previously worked as an Urban Management and Economics Expert for WorleyParsons, focusing on metropolitan strategies for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Noteworthy roles include Senior Urban Planner for Parsons Corporation, Master Planner for URS Corporation embedded with the U.S. Air Force in Afghanistan, and Planning Director for the City of Sausalito. Drummond also owned and managed Bayplan Consulting, providing expert planning services to various public agencies throughout Northern California. Educationally, Drummond holds a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
