Karen Anderson

Karen Anderson is an experienced public safety professional currently serving as the Public Safety Administrator and Public Information Officer for the City of Plymouth since October 2020. Prior to this role, Karen held positions as Senior Project Manager at CentralSquare Technologies and Business Operations Manager at Law Enforcement Technology Group, LLC. Karen has a strong background in law enforcement education and community relations, having taught literature in criminal justice at Metropolitan State University and served as Deputy Director for the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, where responsibilities included developing training programs and conducting research on best practices. Additionally, Karen has experience in IT project management with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County. An educational background includes a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Illinois State University.
