Ian Pomplin

Ian Pomplin is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Racine since March 2022. Previously, Pomplin worked as an Administrative Law Judge at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, conducting over 1,000 unemployment hearings during the Covid-19 pandemic and preparing decisions on various appeals issues. Prior experience includes serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, where Pomplin conducted legal research and drafted formal decisions, and positions as a Legal Intern at the National Labor Relations Board and the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on labor law and employment issues. Pomplin holds a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Law and Society from Winona State University.
