Greg Newman

Greg Newman is a professional planner with extensive experience in urban and regional planning, currently working as a Planner (Affordable Housing) for the City of Richmond since November 2023. Prior roles include Manager of Planning for the City of Delta from December 2021 to September 2023 and the City of White Rock from January 2020 to December 2021, where oversight of planning teams and support for development processes were primary responsibilities. Greg also served as Manager of Policy Planning for the City of Kingston, focusing on long-term growth strategies, and held various positions at McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. and the Township of Rideau Lakes, enhancing expertise in land use planning and development application processes. Academically, Greg holds a Master of Planning from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, supplemented by experience as an Adjunct Professor at Queen's University.
