Ed Kim

Ed Kim is an experienced technology professional currently serving as Deputy Chief Information Officer and Enterprise Technology Manager for Security and Network Operations at the City of San José since June 2009. Responsibilities include managing citywide cybersecurity initiatives based on the NIST framework and overseeing security operations. Prior to this role, Ed Kim worked at Nortel from June 2004 to June 2009 as a Resident Security Engineer, where key duties involved implementing and managing security network products. Ed Kim also held roles in escalation support engineering at Nortel and taught English to the local community in Uzbekistan. Ed Kim earned a BA in English from the University of Washington between 1988 and 2003.
