Sophia Kristina R. A. currently serves as the Race & Social Justice Lead Advisor at the City of Seattle's Office for Civil Rights, providing expert guidance on racial equity initiatives. With previous experience as the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, Sophia has consistently focused on dismantling systemic racism and fostering an inclusive culture. Roles at Sound Transit and the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District further demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, alongside a strong background in communications from Vanderbilt University and other organizations. Sophia holds an EdD in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership with a focus on Diversity & Equity from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has advanced degrees in Communication and English from the University of Washington.
