Paul Dirksen

Paul Dirksen is an accomplished Flood Protection Planner for the City of West Sacramento since February 2013, leading efforts to secure property rights for a major levee infrastructure project. Previously, as a Senior Program Manager from March 2004 to March 2012, Paul acquired tax-defaulted properties and managed site remediation with state funds. Earlier roles included Program Manager, where responsibilities encompassed updating the city's housing element and developing an inclusionary housing ordinance, and Housing Policy Analyst at CA Housing and Community Development. Academic credentials include an MPDS in Planning and Development from the University of Southern California and dual degrees in Latin American Studies, Political Science, Archeology, and Spanish from Ohio University.
