Tanya Washington

Tanya Washington has extensive experience in municipal governance, currently serving as Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office for the City of Wilmington, DE, since 2013, where responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and advising the Mayor and city department heads on policy and operations. Prior to this role, Tanya Washington held multiple positions within the City of Wilmington, including Legislative Director, Chief of Staff, and Deputy Chief of Staff, where duties encompassed managing departmental operations, budgets, and personnel, as well as representing the interests of the Wilmington City Council. Earlier in the career, Tanya Washington worked as an Investment Accountant at PFPC from 1988 to 1990. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management from Norfolk State University, obtained between 1982 and 1986.
