Shawn Evans

Shawn Evans is a seasoned attorney with extensive legal experience, currently serving as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Wilmington, NC since December 2019, and has previously held the positions of Interim Deputy City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney. Prior to this role, Shawn was a partner at The Law Group, focusing on eminent domain, appellate law, civil litigation, employment law, and criminal law. Shawn's experience includes serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the North Carolina Department of Justice, handling complex civil eminent domain matters, and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting serious federal offenses. Additional experience includes duties as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County, where all levels of crime were prosecuted, and as an Associate Attorney focusing on real estate and civil litigation. Shawn holds a Juris Doctorate from Campbell University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
