Ann Cheng

Ann Cheng currently serves as Chief of Staff at The City University of New York's Office of Budget and Finance, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this role, Ann worked at the NYC Office of the Mayor from September 2022 to February 2024, where responsibilities included serving as Deputy Chief Policy and Delivery Officer and Policy Director of the Asylum Application Help Center, as well as Deputy Director of the Mayor’s Office of Policy and Planning. Previous experiences include serving as Assistant Commissioner at The City of New York Office of Labor Relations and multiple roles at the NYC Office of the Mayor from January 2020 to January 2022, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Staff Secretary. Ann's earlier career includes positions such as Project Manager at New York University, 9th Grade World History Teacher at Walnut Hills High School, and various roles in education and community service. Ann Cheng holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard University and a Master of Education in Secondary English Education from Xavier University.
