Barry Mooney

Barry Mooney has extensive experience in flight operations management, currently serving as Flight Operations Manager and Flight Operations Standards Lead at the Civil Aviation Authority since February 2011. Responsibilities include overseeing the Flight Operations Standards sector, mentoring colleagues, chairing the CAA Training Standards and Flight Crew Licensing Governance Board, and representing the CAA in Brexit matters. Previous roles include interim management of UK pilot training standards and extensive compliance inspections of flight training organizations. Prior to the CAA, Barry operated as a freelance JAA Flight Instructor/Examiner and held multiple leadership positions at the European Helicopter Academy, managing both operational aspects and staff.
