Ebony Wade

Ebony Wade is a legal professional with extensive experience in various positions related to law and civil rights. Currently serving as a Legal Adviser at Civil Rights Defenders since July 2021, Ebony previously worked as a Legal Consultant at LexSensis, focusing on a complex anti-money laundering investigation. Prior roles include Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where responsibilities included prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases, and Attorney-Advisor for the Attorney General-Elect Transition Team, providing legal and policy analysis. Earlier experience includes positions as a Legal Fellow at both the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative and the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, as well as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice. Ebony holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
