Eric Ong

Eric Ong currently serves as the Head of Technical Services for the APAC Catalyst Division at Clariant, a position held since January 2016. In this role, Eric has effectively expanded the technical services team and established a technical service HUB in the APAC region, enhancing manpower, technical capability, and service offerings. Prior to this, Eric worked as a Senior Technical Service Engineer at Clariant, serving as the Syngas Regional Specialist for the APAC region from 2017 to 2019. Eric's earlier experience includes a role as a Process Technologist at PETRONAS, leading a team in syngas front-end and methanol synthesis, and as a Process Engineer at Innovative Fluid Process Sdn Bhd, where involvement included the design of projects in the oil and gas sector. Eric began a career in the industry as a Technical Executive at kozato kizai (m) sdn bhd shortly after earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from University Malaysia Sabah in 2006.
