Andrew Nott has held a variety of roles in the education sector since 1992. Andrew began their career as Deputy Head at St Andrew's Prep in 1992, then moved to Davenies School as Headmaster in 1999. During their tenure, the school roll grew by 25% and numbers in Years 7/8 trebled. In 2006, they became Headmaster at St Hugh's, Oxfordshire, where they led it from a position of financial and academic underperformance to being recognised as one of the UK's top prep schools. In 2002, they also became an ISI Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate. In 2019, they founded the Andrew Nott Education Consultancy, where they advise education leaders and governing bodies. Andrew also became Charity Consultant for the Sloane Robinson Foundation and Non Executive Director of Classlist. In 2021, they began working as an Education Consultant for Consultancy@IAPS and in 2022 they became Director of Albion Schools Partnership.
Andrew Nott has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Andrew'story from Swansea University from 1983 to 1986, a PGCE in Secondary English from the University of Oxford from 1994 to 1995, and King's College, Taunton from 1977 to 1982. Andrew also has various certifications, including a Child Protection Refresher 2022 from TES obtained in August 2022, a Governance of Safeguarding from Tes obtained in August 2022, and a Mental Health First Aider from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England obtained in January 2022.
