Gareth Cronin

Gareth Cronin currently serves as the Group Chief Risk Officer at ClearBank since December 2024. Prior to this role, Gareth held various positions at Vanquis Banking Group from September 2019 to December 2024, including Chief Transformation Officer and Group Chief Risk Officer. Gareth was also Chair of the Risk Committee at Moneybarn and held multiple leadership roles at Provident Financial Group, including Group Chief Internal Auditor and PFG Inclusion and Diversity Executive Sponsor. Between September 2015 and September 2019, Gareth worked at AIB as Interim Chief People Officer and Group Chief Auditor. Earlier experience includes Internal Audit Director at Aviva overseeing UK&I Life and Head of Internal Audit at Irish Life & Permanent. Gareth holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics from University College Cork and is currently pursuing a Licentiate at IOB to become a Certified Bank Director.
