Matthew Turk

Matthew Turk is a distinguished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in computer science and technology. Currently serving as President at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC) since July 2019, Matthew Turk is also a Professor Emeritus at UC Santa Barbara, where previous roles included Chair of the Computer Science Department and Chair of the Media Arts and Technology Program. Prior industry experience includes consulting at PTC, co-founding Caugnate, and research positions at Microsoft and Teleos Research. Matthew Turk holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where research was conducted at the Media Lab, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and Virginia Tech, respectively.
