Andy Fields

Andy Fields is an experienced safety management professional with a strong background in the mining industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Safety at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc since August 2017, Andy assists operations in achieving compliance with regulatory standards and enhances emergency preparedness. Previous roles include Manager of Safety at Blue Creek Mining, Sr Safety Manager at Patriot Coal Corporation, and Mine Rescue Trainer at SunCoke Energy, where Andy focused on safety training and compliance. Earlier experience includes managerial positions at United Coal Company and James River Coal Company, along with a safety supervisor role at Arch Coal, Inc. Andy holds an Associate of Arts degree in Mine Technology from Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.
