Lance Van Anglen is currently an advisor at Climate Impact Capital. Prior to this, they were a senior advisor at Shell from January 2004 to December 2017. In this role, they sharpened competitive strategies, portfolios, and practices to improve business performance. Lance also led the evaluation of the company's Gulf of Mexico Deepwater growth strategy and the capital investment performance versus the investor peer group. In addition, Van Anglen defined the path forward for best practices and areas requiring performance improvement.
From 2001 to 2003, Van Anglen was a strategy manager at Unocal. In this role, they were a key advisor to U.S. exploration leadership on corporate strategy, acquisitions and JV opportunities. Lance also analyzed strategic and tactical positioning, global competitive issues, threats and opportunities. Furthermore, they developed corporate and business acquisition and JV targets of opportunity and served as a spokesperson at industry conferences.
Lance Van Anglen has a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. Lance also has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business. In addition, they are a certified public accountant in Texas and a certified competitive intelligence professional. Lance is also a commercial pilot rated in land planes, sea planes, and gliders.
