Steven Sloots

Steven Sloots is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the power generation and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Commissioning Manager for Mammoth at Climeworks since January 2023, Steven previously held significant positions at Aurecon, including Associate and Lead Electrical Engineer within the Energy team, where leadership in various renewable and thermal generation projects was provided. Steven's background also includes roles at APA Group as Lead E&I Engineer and Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer, overseeing project management and technical assurance for gas transmission and power generation assets across Australia. Earlier experience includes positions at Sedgman Pty Limited and Origin Energy, where expertise in electrical design and commissioning processes was demonstrated. Steven holds a Master's degree in Professional Engineering Leadership from Griffith University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from James Cook University.
