Manel Barallat

Manel Barallat, CFA, has extensive experience in financial leadership and strategic development across various sectors and regions. As the CFO for Latin America at Cognita Schools since November 2012, Manel has been instrumental in expanding the business to 22 schools through M&A, greenfield, and organic growth initiatives. Previous roles include COO at Caixa Capital Risc, where Manel managed over €200 million in investments, and CFO at Palau Pharma, overseeing financial operations for a leading biotech firm. Manel has also held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Company, Rothschild, and Arthur Andersen, specializing in M&A and corporate finance. Manel's academic qualifications include an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Licenciatura in Business Administration from Universitat de Barcelona.
