Christine Gibson M.D.

Christine Gibson MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Calgary, where contributions include roles as Evaluations Coordinator for Population Health and Program Director for Global Health Enhanced Skills in Family Medicine. As a Family Physician affiliated with the Mosaic Primary Care Network, Christine has a focus on serving trauma-affected communities, particularly through the Refugee Clinic. In addition to clinical practice, Christine co-founded Safer Spaces Training to promote trauma-informed workplaces and authored "The Modern Trauma Toolkit." Christine holds several educational qualifications, including a Doctorate of Professional Study from Middlesex University and a Masters of Medical Education from the University of Dundee, and has extensive experience in mental health consulting, community development, and leading a registered not-for-profit organization, Global Familymed Foundation, aimed at improving healthcare in resource-poor settings.
