Carmella Shafer

Carmella Shafer has over 20 years of experience in accounting and business services, currently serving as the Director of Purchasing at College Station ISD since July 2009, where responsibilities include hiring, training, and leading a team in accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant management, records retention, and purchasing. Previous roles include Financial Accountant III at Texas A&M University and Coordinator of the Accounting Department at Waco Independent School District, where leadership and employee evaluations were also key duties. Carmella began their career as a Senior Accountant at the City of Woodway. Carmella holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Business/Management from Tarleton State University.
