Michelle Olson is the current Director at Colorado SHRM State Council. Prior to this, they worked as the Short Term Missions Assistant/ Human Resources for The Christian and Missionary Alliance from September 2006 to January 2011. In this role, they were responsible for planning, coordinating and executing national and international short term mission trips, conferences, and training events for 1000 plus people annually. Michelle also conducted training and managed an average of 35 volunteers for different short term sites around the world. Additionally, Michelle was the Human Resources Assistant where they maintained and reviewed personnel files, conducted training sessions on OSHA and Ergonomic matters, and ensured compliance and completeness with job descriptions and annual reviews. Lastly, they were the Missions Mobilization Assistant where they coordinated missionary speaking tours, coordinated international site visits for pastors and senior leaders, and maintained the budget for the department. Throughout their time with The Christian and Missionary Alliance, Michelle traveled often nationally and internationally.
Michelle Olson has a BS in Organizational Management and Human Resources from Colorado Christian University. Michelle also has a Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies degree from Bethel University. Michelle has a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Colorado Christian University. Michelle is certified by SHRM in SHRM-CP, by USA Gymnastics in USA Gymnastics Judge, by MSCCN in Military Employment Counselor, by Career TEAM Solutions in Job Development Certification, by National High School Coaches Association in NHSCA Coach Certification, by SHRM in SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), by the State of Colorado as a Notary Public, and by the SHRM Foundation in SHRM Foundation's Veterans at Work Certificate.
