Gisselle Petty

Gisselle Petty is currently serving as a Fellow at ColorStack, a tech nonprofit dedicated to supporting Black and Latinx college computer science students through community building, academic assistance, and career development. Previously, Gisselle worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Virgin Orbit, where responsibilities included developing a web application for monitoring application status using Vue.js and managing backend routes with Axios and Express. Earlier experience as a Code Instructor at Code Ninjas involved teaching coding concepts in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to children aged 5 to 16 through engaging video games. Gisselle is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, expected to graduate in 2024, following graduation from Chatsworth High School in 2020.
