Tarun Kaniganti

Tarun Kaniganti is an accomplished researcher currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center since September 2024. Previously, Kaniganti held positions as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Nationwide Children's Hospital from August 2022 to June 2024, where the focus was on gene therapy. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from October 2021 to September 2022, as well as a similar position at Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience between May 2019 and September 2021. Kaniganti earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics, Neuroscience, and Energy Homeostasis from the University of Cologne from 2015 to 2018.
