Sophie Westenburg

Sophie Westenburg is a project employee at Stadsdeel Nieuw-West since September 2024 and a community worker at Combiwel Buurtwerk and coordinator at BUURTVERBINDING, both roles beginning in June 2023. Previously, Sophie completed an internship in the Team Democratisering & Buurtbudget Nieuw-West at Gemeente Amsterdam from September 2022 to July 2023, focusing on enhancing resident participation and influence in local projects. Academically, Sophie holds a Master of Science in Cultural Anthropology: Sustainable Citizenship from Utrecht University (2021-2022) and a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam (2017-2021).
