Jennifer Strauss

Jennifer Strauss is an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in stormwater management and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as the Stormwater Coordinator for Commerce City since May 2021, Jennifer develops and manages the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program to ensure adherence to water quality standards under the Clean Water Act. Previous roles include Environmental Protection Specialist at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, where Jennifer interpreted and applied environmental laws and policies, and Water Program Specialist at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, focusing on stormwater management and site remediation. Jennifer's early career included positions as a Project Scientist and Staff Geologist, conducting environmental assessments, and various internships providing foundational skills in environmental science. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Temple University.
