Lennert van Mens

Lennert Van Mens is a highly experienced finance professional with a strong background in leveraged finance and sustainability. Currently serving as one of the co-leads of the ESG & Sustainable Finance Solutions Team at Commerzbank AG since May 2020, Lennert has been instrumental in providing strategic advice to top SME clients and advancing sustainability initiatives within the bank. Previously, Lennert held senior roles at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and GE Capital, focusing on deal origination and credit risk in leveraged finance. Their extensive experience includes a tenure at ING, where Lennert played a key role in leveraging buy-outs and relationship management. Lennert holds a Master's degree in Political Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, along with various management and finance certifications.
