Joy Persall

Joy Persall serves as the Native Voices Rising Program Strategist at Common Counsel Foundation since December 2021. Additionally, Joy has been the Principal at Northern Star Consulting since January 2011, focusing on leadership coaching, team development, and organizational support. Joy's extensive experience includes a role as Leadership Fellow at the Bush Foundation, and as Executive Co-Director at Dream of Wild Health from January 2015 to February 2018. Joy has also contributed to various organizations as a board member, including Windcall Institute, Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center, Heartland Democracy, Wellstone Action, and the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. Joy holds an M.A. in Organization Management & Development from Fielding Graduate University, a B.A. in Multicultural Nonprofit Management from Metro State University, and an AAS in Ornamental Horticulture from Ferris State University.
