Sue Tunmore

Sue Tunmore is a People Director at the Co-op and has worked there for over 5 years in a variety of leadership roles across the Food, Funeralcare, and Support Centre teams. She was previously Co-op Business Services Director, providing contact center, finance, and Business Optimisation services alongside core operational HR services such as payroll, resourcing, and learning & development for ~65,000 colleagues. Sue is also a newly appointed Director for the Co-op Legal Services Board (since March 2021) and is the Chair of Governors for Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff, in Stoke-on-Trent, which provides nursery and primary education to over 400 children.

Sue brings experience in change management, business transformation, and operating model design. Sue began her career as a graduate with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) after completing her MA in Organisational Analysis & Behaviour at Lancaster University. Sue then moved on to work with Arthur Andersen and subsequently Deloitte, where she became a Director in their Human Capital practice before leaving consultancy in 2005 to join Britvic Soft Drinks, where she was the GB & Ireland HR Director until 2015.
