Moira Trachtenberg-Thielking is an accomplished teaching artist with extensive experience in the literary and visual arts. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist at Community-Word Project since October 2017, Moira also holds the position of President on the Executive Committee of the Katonah Poetry Series since November 2012, focusing on marketing and fundraising. As a self-employed writer and editor, Moira creates poetry and short stories, with work published in notable literary magazines and performed live in New York City. Additionally, Moira is a freelance artist, known for mixed-media artwork, including the sculpture "American Dream Catcher," displayed at the Katonah Museum of Arts. Previous marketing roles include positions at Fortune Magazine, Forbes Magazine, and the New York Times Magazine Group. Moira holds an MFA in Fiction from New York University and a BA in English/Fine Art from Colgate University.
