Anthony Hargraves

Anthony Hargraves is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in high school and college-level mathematics instruction. Currently a High School Mathematics Teacher at Coney Island Prep since August 2024, Anthony teaches Geometry and serves as an academic and social-emotional learning advisor. Previously, at New Visions for Public Schools from January 2020 to August 2024, Anthony taught various Regents and elective math courses, led Geometry curriculum development, and significantly enhanced student understanding through innovative teaching practices. Anthony's earlier roles at LaGuardia Community College included Adjunct Lecturer and Program Coordinator, where responsibilities included teaching developmental mathematics courses and coordinating student leadership programs. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from Queens College, a Certificate in Improvised Theater from Upright Citizens Brigade Training Center, and an Associate of Science in Mathematics from Kingsborough Community College, complemented by a High School Diploma in Instrumental Music from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.
