Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson possesses extensive experience in education and management. Currently serving as the Director of Adult Education at Congreso de Latinos Unidos since April 2012, responsibilities include overseeing various academic and educational programs such as out-of-school youth initiatives and career pathways programs. Prior to this role, Michael held managerial positions at Borders from September 1994 to May 2011, including General Manager for stores in Marlton, NJ, Newark, DE, and Philadelphia. Additionally, a background in academia includes a role as a Lecturer for the First and Second Year Undergraduate Program at the University of Pennsylvania from July 1991 to June 1994, along with coordination of an immersive German language program in Freiburg, Germany. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Germanic Languages & Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and dual undergraduate degrees in Forestry and Business Administration from North Carolina State University.
