Ciara Sterling

Ciara Sterling serves as the Director and CEO of the Thriving Communities Partnership, a position held since January 2017, bringing over 20 years of experience in addressing issues related to hardship and vulnerability across government, corporate, and community sectors. Additionally, Ciara is a board member of the Consumer Action Law Centre, a prominent consumer advocacy organization. Previously, Ciara held various significant roles at Yarra Valley Water, including Head of Community Inclusion, where leadership in supporting customers facing hardship and family violence was exemplified through initiatives like WaterCare. Key achievements include the design and implementation of the WaterCare customer assistance program and the development of innovative educational initiatives for water conservation. Ciara’s extensive experience and vision have been pivotal in advancing community support and addressing systemic inequalities.
